Our Game is a fictional work about the first woman to play baseball for a professional MLB franchise. Girls playing baseball – crazy idea?  Sure, everyone has heard about the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League during World War 2 from A League of Their Own.  But today? No way. After all, boys play baseball and girls play softball.  It’s just the way things are. Not anymore!

  • Well done Jeff! I finished the book appropriately enough on Opening Day! It truly is a story whose time has come. My best friend's niece is a star softball player at her high school. She is graduating this year and I plan on sending her a copy as a graduation gift. Some of my favorites..."Baseball is what lights you up." "All-Star week calls to all Americans to relax and enjoy the summer as it was intended and promises that Labor Day is still off in the distant future." (Ollie) - The one thing that he loved most about baseball was that it created optimists whose time has come. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and how it celebrates the game both past, present, and future.
